The Owlery.

My daughter loves the Harry Potter books. I made her an “Owlery” to hang in her room—a special place for her wizarding books and stuffed owls.

A pointed arch and a roof with layered, shingle-like details turn a small wooden bookshelf into a little piece of her favorite world.

FROM A FAVORITE STORY TO A REAL PIECE

Made for her
kind of magic.

This project started with something she already loved. Rather than a plain place to store books, the Owlery makes the shelf part of the story.

Two open levels give her books and stuffed owls a home, while the tall arch frames the upper shelf. The visible wood grain keeps the piece warm and simple.
